| Recycling of ASUS Products | ||||||||||||
If you are a resident with ASUS products in the United States, please click here. Or if you are an institutional or business customer in the United States and Canada, please click here. What Happens to Your Old ASUS Product? Your product will be reused or recycled depending on its condition and your direction to us. GRX reserves the right to decide if the product can be recycled or reused, based on its condition. Reuse of Products Any product that has re-use potential will go to the Jared Polis Foundation’s Computers for the Community. This non-profit organization accepts donations of used computer equipment, completely wipes all data off hard drives, reconditions and reloads operating systems, and then donates the working systems to underprivileged organizations and individuals. Recycling of Products Any systems that do not meet the minimum requirements for re-use will be properly recycled. This means that the products will be taken apart by hand. Materials are sorted by plastic, metal, circuit boards, wire, etc. The materials are then processed and reintroduced to the manufacturing process as raw materials. All hard drives on systems that are recycled are shredded, ensuring data security. Asset Disposition If you are an institution needing full asset disposition services for old ASUS products, please contact GRX directly at 866-GRX-4920 (Toll Free) or in Colorado at 720-377-7700 for more information on GRX's services. DISCLAIMER Because we cannot be sure of the condition of your old ASUS laptop, we cannot guarantee that it will be reused. Therefore, you must assume it will be recycled. You are responsible to remove all data from your laptop before sending it to GRX for recycling. Please ensure that the laptop you ship matches the description provided on this web page. GRX and ASUS do not represent that you will be eligible for a charitable deduction as a result of recycling your ASUS laptop through this program. Packaging Tips Choose a box for shipping that is sturdy — an old box is fine. The ASUS product should fit into it with an inch or two to spare. Make sure it fits snugly by wrapping the product in bubble wrap, foam peanuts, or other material that will cushion it. Close the box and tape all seams closed with durable packing tape — 2" or wider is best. Affix the label mailed to you from GRX and take the box to the nearest FedEx/Kinko's location. |
